Patrick Atagi(パトリック・アタギ)
Patrick Atagi is the President & CEO of the National Industrial Hemp Council of America (NIHC), the Washington, D.C.–based trade association for the U.S. hemp sector. He was named to the role in 2021 and leads NIHC’s policy, market-development, and international outreach efforts.
Before NIHC, Atagi served in multiple roles at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, including Confidential Assistant to the Undersecretary for Marketing and Regulatory Programs and Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Affairs—experience that informs his work at the intersection of agriculture, standards, and trade.
He frequently speaks at industry forums and advises on supply-chain, accreditation, and export topics as NIHC builds partnerships across the value chain.
